The night before Easter, Hay lights up with a family-friendly evening of markets, music, food and large-scale projections that turn the town into a living gallery.

This year’s theme is My Best Friend, and locals (and visitors) are invited to be part of the show. Think drawings, photos, videos — anything that captures your best mate — projected onto buildings as the sun goes down.

From 7pm, the lights hit and the town quite literally comes to life.

What to expect:

• Markets and street eats

• Live music throughout the evening

• Interactive light installations

• Petting zoo and face painting for the kids

• A visit from the Easter Bunny

Arrive early, wander the markets, grab something to eat and stick around for the main event when Hay transforms after dark.
